It doesn’t work for me when it waits until you are almost at the turning before saying ‘take the next turning on the left’! There must be other people like me who want to use the sat nav but don’t feel it is human enough yet.

I would like to get some sort of sat nav system to cover mainly England and occasionally Europe. What is the better system to go for ?. It must have a full 7 digit postcode search facility as well as industrial estates, possibly speed camera locations as well. Apparently Tom Tom and Road Angel Navigator are fairly good, does anyone have any experience of these or know of another good reliable system.

Are they also responsible for determining which is the fastest route, shortest route etc. I have tried a number of sat navs and some routes are much more preferable to others. If I found out the drivers I could look for this when buying a new sat nav. Cheers
