it will be up to date when you buy it but with the roads changing all the time you will need to update it probably once every2 years deoending on which country you live in. and to buy new up to date maps costs about £3
Yesterday, I was mowing my lawn when a man stopped his car to ask me the way to Glasgow Airport, as his satnav was sending him down a road that was marked as a dead end. It was in fact a farm track mapped by the Ordnance Survey round about World War One, but satnav will tell you it’s a proper road to this very day.
For that reason I shall NEVER, under any circumstances, buy satnav.
Incidentally, the spellcheck on here suggests that satnav should be spelled Satan.
