Scientists say Crocs have in-built sat nav cos they can find their way home, so do cats have the same?

sat nav
Ms AlienSunflower asked:

Any one read the story on yahoo news about scientists conducting experiments on crocodiles have believe they have in-built sat nav as they can find their way home from miles away? My question is could cats have the same thing as they always manage to find their way home or back to a previous address if its owner moves.

possibly cats have the same sort of feature because if you put 50+ volt ino a cat it tail will point north so it is very possible they have some sort of navigation device
